Having an excellent product with a technological heritage and sixty years of history is not enough if your communication does not reflect the exclusivity of the brand. This is the challenge we faced alongside Titici, a historic Italian brand of high-performance carbon bicycles founded in 1961. Despite their patented P.A.T. technology and bespoke Made in Italy engineering, the brand was using a fragmented strategic and visual language, treating custom personalization as a mere optional extra rather than the heart of the experience. In collaboration with the Pomo Style studio, we built the new Brand Vision for Titici: a strategic roadmap that realigns the brand's perception with its true market value.
Redefining an iconic brand: The Strategic Framework for Titici
The repositioning of a brand with high artisanal value requires a deep analysis of the company's identity. We structured a strategic framework based on the Why, How, Whatmodel, translating it into a brand manifesto, core values, operational philosophy, and a positioning architecture designed for the premium cycling market.
Instead of limiting ourselves to an aesthetic restyling, we transformed the value of bespoke personalization into the true center of gravity for the brand, laying the foundations for a marketing and communication roadmap oriented toward the coming years.
Identifying target audiences: communicating with three types of cyclists
To move beyond generic catalog-style communication, we profiled three distinct target audiences. Each profile was paired with a dedicated editorial plan, a specific product mix, and tailored conversion channels:
1. The Heritage Cyclist: Celebrating 60 years of Italian know-how
This profile represents the mature enthusiast who appreciates the value of precision engineering and is deeply connected to the tradition of "Made in Italy." For the Heritage cyclist, the narrative focuses on historical legacy, patented P.A.T. technology, and the continuity of a brand that has been innovating carbon frames since 1961. The messaging and editorial plan leverage authority, reliability, and a deep-rooted Italian cycling culture.
2. The Next Gen Rider: Cycling as an expression of identity
The new generation of cyclists views the bicycle not just as sports equipment, but as an extension of their lifestyle. To engage the Next Gen Rider, we moved away from traditional technical jargon in favor of a visual language inspired by editorial and documentary styles. Created in collaboration with Pomo Style, the content places the bike within real-world contexts of architecture, travel, and landscape, transforming the riding experience into a statement of identity.
3. The Custom Rider: Bespoke carbon at the heart of the experience
For the audience seeking absolute exclusivity, the concept of "bespoke" is the primary purchasing driver. We positioned the custom service as the ultimate expression of the Titici offering: from personalized frame geometry to the choice of finishes. The strategy for the Custom Rider laid the groundwork for the creative direction of the future digital configurator and for a high-end experiential packaging, with meticulous attention to color details and the custom card.
Visual language and distribution model: a Roadmap towards 2027
The effectiveness of the repositioning is reflected in the consistency of every touchpoint between the company and the consumer. The new visual language has been applied to:
- Editorial plans and digital channels: A seasonal narrative for each buyer persona, applied to the restyling of social media channels and the website.
- Ambassador program: selection and coordination of six strategic ambassadors within the Italian cycling community.
- Hybrid distribution strategy: definition of a three-tier retail model (Titici experiential Hubs, selected Premium Retailers, and Community Retail).
-
Conclusion
Titici didn't need to reinvent itself, but to rediscover its own voice. By connecting sixty years of technical know-how with a contemporary and desirable positioning, we provided the brand with a communication system ready to drive growth in the coming years.
